Chuck, Style and execution of lug work are definitely subject to personal taste however I don't know if you have seen this frame in person but while the images are nice, actually physically seeing it is considerably more compelling. As I mentioned previously, I have on occasion seen other "fancy lugged" frames that I felt were as nice as this but only a very few. That said, the appreciation of various aesthetic designs of lugs is very much a personal taste issue but anyone who has ever picked up a torch or file would likely appreciate the amount of craftsmanship this frame represents. Doug, in the unlikely event that you ever decide to sell this, I and several other members of this list will no doubt be very interested to purchase it!

Time for a reality check (my personal opinion)...

Never saw a finer made frame? Okay As good as the finist frames ever made? Okay The equal of the finist frames ever made? Okay The FINEST frame ever made??? Unsupportable!

I'll tell you right now, I have problems with some of the esthetic choices made on this particular John Berry frame. Of course, that's only my opinion!
