Unfortunately, Asphalt's "return policy" does not reflect well on publishers of small magazines. When Gabe Konrad folded his "On the Wheel," subscribers got a prompt letter of apology, plus a check for the remaining part of their subscription.

You may notice that Asphalt does not allow credit card or even online payment. While I am not to fond of the fees involved, and prefer checks myself, credit cards do put certain protections in place, including a money-back guarantee.

Vintage Bicycle Press has a money-back guarantee for all payments - if you do not like the magazine, you get the unused part of your subscription refunded. And if the magazine ever is discontinued, I promise that nobody will be left empty-handed. Of course, for now, the magazine is doing fine, and the next issue will be mailed next week. -- Jan Heine Editor Vintage Bicycle Press c/o Il Vecchio Bicycles 140 Lakeside Ave #C Seattle WA 98122 http://www.vintagebicyclepress.com
