David etal,

You are dead wrong in your assumption on this one. This seller does not care to split hairs about Masi myth and lore as others are want to do...just a different frame of reference.

If the decals are wrong; that can be attributed more to the person doing the restoration and not necessarily the seller. The seller sent this frame to one of the most revered bicycle restoration specialists in the world and trusted his judgement.

The seller did indeed have a number of bicycles for sale at Cirque '06 and he may not have all the necessary details down about period / vintage correct, but they were nice rigs none the less.

I guess in a way I have become hyper-sensitive about the way many people on this list view ebay and other For Sale listings. Most folks don't have the knowledge or for that matter care to learn all of the intricacies and minutiae that many on this list thrive on. No reason to jump on the sellers...just do your own proper due diligence and make your own decision on whether or not to pull the trigger on an offering.
