If I was at least 6'4" with an inside leg measurement of 33/34" or over, instead of being 5'8" with a measurement of only 29", I would put my money on the elegant 61cms/24" EG Bates road bike currently being sold on UK Ebay No230029285474. There's slightly under one and half days to run..and the price at the last glance was £300.

The bike appears to be in immaculate condition, and is equipped with a full Campagnolo Super Record groupset, the finish of the frames being chrome yellow with red head and seat panels..with matching red hoods on the brakes..OK it sounds NAFF but looks good!

EG Bates is the lsser known of the Bates brothers..ie he didn't invent the diadrant fork and the Cantiflex tubing, but his company did build some excellent frames, many of which were ridden in the 50/60s by leading riders. The eBay bike appears to be an 80s model .

The seller will only ship to europe...but I would be willing to help get it to the States if anyone wants to have a go at buying it.

EG Bates do not come up for sale very often...so this one in this sort of condition is not one to miss!!
