----- snip from Jerry Moos ---------- BTW it checked out the Schwinn model spec database that someone here provided the link for a few months ago. It shows the World Voyageur as sold only in 1973, but the Voyageur II was sold for several more years, and seems to have almost identical specs, including the Dura Ace crankset. Anyone know the significant between the two models? Also, I could swear the several World Voyageurs Arnie Nashbar obtained In The Day for members of my old club the OutSpokin Wheelman, which he cofounded, had Dura-Ace CENTERPULL brakes, but the Schwinn model database says DiaCompe. Is it just my memory, or does someone else remember the Dura Ace CP's on this bike? ------end of snip--------

The World Voyageur came with the DiaCompe center pulls. I'm sure you could've gotten a bike shop to upgrade to Dura Ace for a price. I wish I had known to do that. As for the WV vs Shwinn Voyageur II, they had the same components but Schwinn started putting out 25" frames with the SV II. The largest WV frame was 23". On the seat tube the decal changed from World Voyageur to Schwinn Voyageur II. Also the available frame colors changed. The Voyageur II was followed by the Voyageur 11.8. The components on the 11.8 were downgraded and you didn't see Dura Ace on them.
