I put a 6-cog 14-28 Suntour Ultra block on my Nishiki Landau and it worked really well with the Cyclone RD with no over-shifting. However, the Shimano 7-cog 14-28 I recently put on my Nishiki Ultimate, because the 21 teeth were getting too hard for my old legs, wants to auto-shift and skip gears. I'd really like to see a picture of this "demultiplicateur" gadget, although I'd rather just fine tune my NR shifter. Right now, when I increase the friction it feels too stiff. There seems to be some confusion as to whether it increases or decraeses the mechanical advantage, but it it's just a bellcrank, maybe it could be flipped to do either.
