I recently acquired a nice little Raleigh that I almost resisted. There are only a few bicycle shops that consign vintage bicycles in this area. The shop that I keep returning to had this very nice candy-apple red Raleigh with all 531 tubes and fork, perfect chrome, mostly NR parts, Super Champion rims, Rally RD, and a changeover to a Chorus triple crankset. It was too small for me but I fell for it. The inspection and cleaning revealed only a decal "The Raleigh" on the seat tube, "Raleigh" on the down tube, and a medal headtube badge with "The Raleigh" on it. I have tried to search for the information in archives and Google and the neglected CR page but no information.. Anybody with a good handle on this item?
