The single bent chainstay was only offered on the Davis Phinney model serotta. The model I've seen was in the 89 catalogue. Serotta developed the bent chainstays for the 84 olympic teams but it wasn't standard feature until after the 89 catalogue. As for other differences between the Davis Phinney and other model the 89 Catalogue states "slightly steeper, longer geometry to the Asymmetrical Davis 'Sprint Control' power rear triangle. Mark Bulgiers site has a few Serotta Catalogues, this model does not show up in the 1985 or 1986 catalogue. Does anyone know when this model (Davis Phinney) was first produced?
