Well, instead of my usual done-in-private to avoid embarrassment polite requests that members READ and follow the list rules, I am going "public" to remind you all that I am becoming over stressed by the frequency of these episodes and therefore I am bordering on impetously booting off folks who do not pay any attention whatsover to the blankety blank rules!!!

Now, Mr. Cooke (if that is indeed who you, are as you did not sign your message as this list requires):

We have a few rules here ( sent to you as part of the Welcome message, and reside here http://www.classicrendezvous.com/CR_list_rules.htm.) which include guidelines for offering things for sale on the CR e-list. The second of which I quote: " - 'For Sale' or 'Wanted to Buy' postings for items in the CR on-topic timeline only. Items must always include a set price and may only be posted once. "

As you can see you also violated that rule as you have offered no set price.

The reason we have that rule is to prevent someone joining and seem to sincerely in offering goods for sale and then, using the members here to work against each other in a bidding war, that seller not selling it at all to these hapless CR folk but go on to eBay or other auction and use that information gleaned from the CR list as to value. Even if that last hop onto eBay does not occur, the pitting of one CR member against the other is unseemly and inappropriate. So we require setting your price up front and no manipulation...

So... I certainly hope you sell your bike to an appreciative person but if you would like to be part of this group, please immediately amend your errors with a corrective post .. or withdraw from our company.

Thanks Dale
