i remember i started to tell him about my colnago collection. i was rattling on about all the great old colnago models i owned. he cut me off and asked me if i'd seen his new carbon fiber frame. and then he moved on to talk with somebody else. he was neither impressed nor interested. yup, the once chance i had to speak to the man, and i bored him immediately. i'm guessing he would not last very long as a member of the cr list. within a day he'd be asking to be removed! :-)
he was very gracious though in signing several things and then posing for a photo with me. he didn't smile for the photo, but then again, i've never seen a photo of him actually smiling.
