Greetings campers
Recent discussions of Cinelli 7mm allen head bolts, and the earlier hex nutted models sent me diving deep into the parts boxes again. Came up with a possible transitional Cinelli that had a 7mm allen head expander bolt but still had the older style hex nut bar clamp. (GB did this combo too for stems that landed on some Raleigh Internationals. I don't know why.). Obtained this one in 1970 or 71 after my AVA death stem incident. Discovered I accidentally have two of these, so that makes me a little more comfortable in the belief that I didn't just hallucinate it all.
Anybody know what the actual time frame was for the manufacture of these things before Cinelli made the full change over to allen head bolts for both clamp and expander? Or was this a different model? Anybody else have these things cluttering up their personal timelines, and disrupting their sense of order in the universe?
