Subject: [CR]Holdsworth Definately Not A Hetchins

Hello Al, Ken Craven Crescent Wheelers rode a Holdsworth, definitely not a Hetchin's. His frame was nigh identical to the one I sold to America recently. I never saw him on a Hetchin's but he could have used one as he was from East London but I only saw him on a W.F.H. Come to think of it I never saw many Hetchin's used in competition, Holdsworths and Gillotts yes indeed. Regarding Geoffrey Butlers I honestly don't know all I can tell you is that I think Johhny Pratt owned the business. Didn't one of Claud Butler's daughters marry Fred Pratt who had a shop on the Brighton Road near Reigate Surrey. Perhaps there is a connection. I will post this on the CR list as there are some really knowledgeable people on there who might know the answer.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
