Another way to look at this.... how often does one see 32-hole and 28-hole HUBS? As on eBay. It seems to be you almost never see them for French- made hubs (Maillard/Spidel/Normandy etc.) and only for Campagnolo. So was t his an era thing (i.e. by the mid '70s alas most folks were not buying Fre nch hubs in any numbers) or did the French not use or like them or... sh ould I not gauge all human endeavour by its eBay quotient??
