I have a set of Dura-Ace clips that have a nut that is about four times longer than a standard nut. The bolt does not go through, and open they hold in with 2-3 threads. The nut is held onto the clamp. May not have the high cost logo, but they work well. Steven Johnson, Shiloh, IL

I understand - I have one set of Huret clips that I treasured so greatly that I seem to have hid them from myself!

Also, did you notice that the chromed steel Campagnolo clips and the stainless steel versions have different threading for the mounting screws? They do! Are both versions non standard?
I have to admit to sometimes entirely removing the Campagnolo screws and nuts, then replacing them with loose, standard sized parts.
