The 'D' stands for 10,000 as I understand it. Hence Serial #10,711.

My bike is D663 - very close to this one - mine has diamond cutouts in the lugs. +/- '74-/'75 vintage.

A lucky member of the german TOUR forum got a vintage NOS Pogliaghi frame (I should have watched ebay also on my holidays: item 7208570533) The serial number is quite unusual: http://forum.tour-magazin.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=39316 Any ideas, what "D711" means? The frame has not been repainted.
