Subject: [CR]help removing mafac canti calipers

a friend brought his old touring bike back from england, where it had been rotting in his father's garage, and i'm helping him get it back in running order.

the first step involves removing all the parts and giving everything a thorough cleaning, and i've run into a snag.

the mounting bolts of the mafac calipers are screwed into what seems to be a bushing or sleeve that's integral to the boss. this bushing turns freely once the mounting bolt is loosened a bit, and i can't figure out how to get a grip on it to stop it from turning. does anyone have any advice about how to do this?

i've posted pictures of the sleeve (circled in red) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/dForSelling/mafac_01.jpg and the boss (with all its accumulated grime) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/dForSelling/mafac_02.jpg

many thanks for any advice,
