Really a small report. Real good day at the T-Town swap this week. Lots of bike, lots of friends and yes lots of CR members. I really did not buy much but did get some special stuff. First a complete set of World Encyclopedie Cycling. All three comprehensive volumes featuring all the pro riders through the ages. Their birth/death dates and their most important races and rankings. Even our own CR member Ted Ernst is in here. Just as I buy the books for a mere $10 they announce that Bobby Julich is at the swap selling team issue stuff and signing autographs for free. I look up in the books I just bought and find him and his photo inside. Took it over to him and he signed it after saying "where did they get that photo". He was very friendly and willing to talk about anything. He was selling his team issue stuff to fund his new junior team he is starting up in Colorado. I took a photo and you can see it on the link at the bottom of this posting.

There is more...

While I am walking around another announcement comes over the loudspeaker. It seems that Greg LeMonde just rode into the Velodrome to check things out. He drew a crowd which was how I found him. Again very friendly but he was not sticking around for long as he was on a ride with a group of friends. I did manage to shake his hand and get some photos again see the link below.

I don't remember ever having this many celebrities at T-Town. Just wish I had a pen handy when I met Greg or was at least on my bike so I could ride with the group for even a short period. Oh well, better luck next time. Here is the link of the photos.
