great fun at t-town today!

laura long (fellow CR lurker and very occasional poster), tom hayes, and i meandered about aimlessly for a bit and happened onto some good bargains, and gawked at some pretty cool, but pricey, stuff. CR members were in full effect; i have to admit that it was pretty cool to be able to see the faces of a bunch of recognizable names. laura got a really interesting late 60s (i think) italian frame for a steal, and i picked up a 3rensho (thanks sasha!) road. i'll post pictures tomorrow of the frames, perhaps yins (pennslylvania talk!) can help ID the italian. the deal of the day, by the way, was $5 pair of smartwool socks.

long day, good night dan polito brooklyn, ny.

p.s.- in case you are wondering, it is in fact possible to carry 2 frames, 7 tubulars, socks, a few wool jerseys, a set of 1960s-ish rollers with ceramic rolls, pedals, and random assorted crap from philly to brooklyn, all via public transportation. for 4 easy payments of 19.95 i'll show you how!

>Really a small report. Real good day at the T-Town swap this week. Lots of
>bike, lots of friends and yes lots of CR members. I really did not buy
>much but did get some special stuff. First a complete set of World
>Encyclopedie Cycling. All three comprehensive volumes featuring all the
