Right. When Selle Italia bought Brooks, they discontinued the relationship with Persons. Probably not a bad move, because Persons was not doing a very good job of marketing the Brooks line.

Actually, Persons-Majestic is one of the oldest companies in the U.S. bicycle business. They were one of the two major U.S. manufacturers of saddles dating from the very early 20th century, if not the late 19th (Messinger is the other.)

I think Charlie is the 3rd or 4th generation of this family-owned business.
