I hit up a thrift store on my way home last night just to see what bikes they might have.. There was only one bike. it appeared to be a 70's bike boom with safety brake levers, shifters on the stem, ugly chainstay protector, big fat 27 inch wheels. I kept walking but noticed the pedals said "boa" so i scanned it again.. A Chater-Lea head clip.. then i notice the lugs (how i missed them the first time?, maybe it was the house paint the bike was painted with) Then i notice the bike had Chater-Lea track type ends and that somebody has rigged the chainguard on a set of Chater-lea cranks. I about had a heart attack hurrying to buy it and get it home.. It appears to be some sort of track bike from the 30's. Very distinct spearpoint lugs and open ended stays in the rear. I really should have taken a picture of this bike set up.. it looked exactly like a cheap department store bike.

The rear right drop out has stamped a L (i think) and the number 39
