Best I can tell you is that the last Peugeot catalog in the repro collection Chuck Schmidt sold a few years ago (perhaps still available) showed several models named after French cities. Unfortunately, many of these catalogs did not carry dates, but the next to last catalog was 1986 so the last one was probably 1987 or 1988. The Marseille, unfortunately, was well down the product line, Peugeot HLE tubing, i.e. gaspipe. Functional but inexpensive components. Not really a collectible bike.
