I'm no expert but my understanding was that the issue with the Campag
Ti BBs and pedal axles was that they were made from raw titanium, as
opposed to the far stronger alloys currently in use.
One would think that if it was good enough for Captain America's
shield, it would be good enough for Campagnolo, but go figure.
