Joe King reminds us of the one man team individual victory of Ken Russell in the 1952 Tour of Britain. In a modern world of cut and thrust racing, and sometimes cheating, we should all read the story of that final stage, and the true sportsmanship that was shown that day. I have scanned the relevant pages from the official report of the race, and uploaded them to http://ntlworld.photobox.co.uk/album/4297731 http://ntlworld.photobox.co.uk/album/4297731 . Just a couple of clicks will bring each page up to full screen size. The master stroke of the organizers was to ask Belgian rider Marcel Michaux, who had given up his bike so that Russell could complete his win, to present the winner's trophy to Russell at the rider's presentation dinner which followed that day.

While you are looking at the report, you may wish to click on "my albums", and you will see that I have added more pics of my bikes and frames.
