Dave Martinez' response to Dale's question:

Hello Dale,

Its a Cupertino Bike Shop Spence Wolfe modification. I was inspired to do the same thing to the MAFAC rear brake hanger on my Raysport. I'll be posting pics of my Raysport as soon as I figure out how to get them in the new fangled Wooljersey site.

Hey Cinellisti, the rear brake cable hanger on this bike... Do you think it a man-handled, i.e., "modified" standard Mafac hanger or something special? Whatta ya think? Dale Brown Greensboro, North Carolina USA

I'm missing something here. The rear hanger looks like a standard rear Mafac hanger to me. What exactly has been done to the hanger?

What brand of headset is on this bike? Pretty neat looking.

I love bicycles (well, not ALL bicycles...this Cinelli most definitely) in this "as found" condition. I think it's beautiful and has real character. Tear it down; clean, regrease; quick glo the chrome, carefully wax up the frame, and go.

It's my size but I doubt I'll be able to afford the price it eventually commands. sigh
