I'm probably the exception, but I have way too much bicycle stuff and don't mind being sniped. I do look on ebay and I do bid on things, even things that I don't need. I do this because I can't resist the deal and probably need some therapy. When I find myself high bidder for something that is over $500 and I really don't need it, I go to bed hoping someone will outbid me, not hoping that I won't get sniped at the last minute! The Redcay fixed frame that was offered last week to the list was a similar thing--I wanted it, but was thrilled when someone else beat me to it, after I drug my feet with the seller for three days. Regardless, a person's tactics, rationale for bidding, techniques, and practices are their own personal choice. If they choose to use snipe software or choose to bid early and often, that is their business. You can tell things are slowing down when we spend this much time on such a subject.
