Subject: [CR]Possible Raleigh Pro scam on eBay

I noticed this nice early 70's Raleigh Pro on eBay. Looks like a bargain at the current bid of $355. But looking closer, this looks suspicious. A "private" auction where you can't see who else is bidding. The only location given is USA. He doesn't take PayPal, so you can't recover a payment through them. Likewise credit cards, but he does mention wire transfers, always a red flag for me.

Over 500 feedbacks, 99.6% positive, impressive at first. But when you check them, only one is since Feb 2003, 3 1/2 years ago, and that one is from a no longer registered buyer on a private auction you can't view.

Maybe I'm not a trusting person, but this smells like identity theft to me. I'm laying off this one. Anyone else sense a scam here?
