Subject: [CR]The Annual Baltimore Retro Ride

I should have posted this ride sooner, but here is the announcement from the Baltimore Bike Club's newsletter:

10 am - 35 miles - Shawn Downing (410/889-5518, shawn.downing@jhu.edu) Ride Start: Oregon Ridge Lodge Parking Lot The Annual Baltimore Retro Ride. Arrive 9 am or so to socialize; ride begins at 10 am. No awards, no trophies. Just talking about and riding bikes. Wear your oldest jersey, bring out your oldest bike. Feel intimidated by not having the latest equipment? The Retro Ride celebrates the old, the creaky, the rusty. Modern bikes are welcome, track or fixed gear are discouraged as the course is not friendly to a single gear. The ride loop is around 35 miles.

Directions:Baltimore Beltway, 1-695 North to exit 24, Baltimore/Harrisburg Expressway, I-83 north to exit 20 for Shawan Road West. Go 1 mile to first light and turn left onto Beaver Dam Road. In approximately ½ mile, turn right into the lodge parking lot.

The tentative forecast is sunny with high in the upper 40's, light winds. Zip code is 21030 for you weather junkies.

Hope to see a few of you there.
