Subject: [CR]Bikes for the World Warehouse SALE details (2nd post)

Hi CR listees, Sorry for the second post...........Here are the details for TONIGHT'S WAREHOUSE SALE IN SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON DC

Bikes for the World, a project of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, will be selling "high-end" road bikes again Wednesday, Nov 8, 6-8 pm at its SW DC warehouse There are 30 evaluated and priced better model bikes, ranging from $200 to $450 in price. Cannondale, Trek, Bianchi, Specialized, and more. We are selling these better road bikes to raise funds for collecting and shipping other bikes more suitable for rough terrain (especially mountain bikes)--we expect to collect, donate, and ship more than 7,500 bikes this year, to ten countries. The donated bikes provided much-needed transportation for work, school, and health care delivery.

The majority of these sale bikes on Wednesday are immediately ride-able, others need work and we try to identify that (and discount the price accordingly). Only road bikes are available at this point. Cash or Visa credit card accepted. Receipt provided.

Here is the FORMAL address, directions, AND cell phone number. Please do not show up before 6 pm--no one will be permitted in before 6pm.

Address: 401 M Street SW (Green Line Metro--Waterside/Southeastern University.

We are on the EAST side of the Waterside Mall complex, going counter-clockwise from the front (Safeway). Go past the Safeway loading dock, over a low curb/up a wheelchair cut) past the old (and empty) EPA office building, to our loading dock on the east side of the Mall closer to the intersection of K Street SW and Wesley Place (toward Third St SW). You will probably see some dumpsters in front of our loading dock-the building is being gutted-as well as my teal-color Toyota Sienna van. Parking available.

(You can also reach the parking lot from I St SW and K St SW, from Wesley Place or Third Street SW.)

If lost, call 571-212-4139. The building has security guards who are aware of the event but I ask that they not be bothered looking for our entrance.

a.. this is in or around SW DC
Yours truly,
