Not sure I've seen a ATAX alloy or steel seatpost. I have a couple of carbon or plastic (depending who you believe) posts that I believe are ATAX. Very light, kind of cool, some people are afraid they would break, but I've never had any problems with them. I do really like ATAX bars and stems, so alloy posts would probably be good also.

I wasn't aware Stronglight made seatposts. Do you mean Simplex instead?
