Wow, a lot of press on those Weinmann rims. I have them, rode them and no big deal. Like any other rim they really take the feel of the bike and lacing used. I have had he opportunity to ride a lot of different bikes with a lot of different rims. I have expensive campy rims that ride like crap. Not because they are crap, they are laced radially and on long rides beat you up bad. I have Weinmann rims with a nice 3 cross lacing and can ride them forever. I also noticed a few comments about he smoked or dark anodized rims and how nice they look. Yeah, they look nice unless you ride them. Then the side walls make you bike look like junk as that anodizing wears unevenly and soon you have a very cheap looking set of wheels. Give me the plain old aluminum or light anodized anytime. I can always clean them up to look great.
