I don't know if Stainless has been up graded as much as the cro-mo and 531 type tubes have in the last 30 years,as far as heat treating and such. But, Cresent (Swiss made) bikes had Stainless tubes in the 60-70s that I know of. The 2 men that I knew who owned them praised them highly. Check out your early 70s Bicycling Mags for ads.
