Subject: [CR]BIKES FOR THE WORLD, 24 hour notice, final warehouse sale,WASH.DC

Dear CR listees living in the Baltimore,Washington DC area, The non profit group,BIKES FOR THE WORLD is holding it's final warehouse sale,of used donated, many on topic, bicycles, in Washington DC tomorrow evening at 6-8:30 pm. It's the BIG CITY SO BE CAREFUL!!! Bring a friend! See the listing from Craigslist on November 10th that I will post below: They are selling off all sorts of on topic bicycles and "stuff" They gotta move out of this warehouse location very soon. This is the third Wednesday in a row that they will have had one of these sales. The first one was not very well advertised and not many folks showed up. They (BIKES FOR THE WORLD) started with many, many,on topic bicycles for this event. Many of the bicycles will need work in my opinion. Good parts donors and good framesets. Some may work with minor adjustments. Everyone needs a few more bicycles/parts in the basement or garage for the upcoming cold weather season! Good luck! Yours truly, Marty Walsh in VIENNA,VIRGINIA,USA Road bikes--Cannondale, Trek, Bianchi, etc - $200

Last chance--Bikes for the World, a sponsored project of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association that will collect and donate more than 7,000 bikes this year, in nine countries and in the United States, will be selling 25 better road bikes which we deem inappropriate for overseas shipment. They will be available for viewing this coming Wednesday, November 15 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm, at our SW DC warehouse in the old Waterside Mall, 401 M Street SW.

The bikes include Cannondale, Specialized, Bianchi, Trek, a Raleigh Technium, a nice smaller pre-Walmart Mongoose, a tall Bella, and much more. All sizes available, although stronger on mid-size and small adult. Sold "as is", but most are immediately ride-able.

All proceeds will go to help us collect, store, and ship more bikes, especially mountain bikes. For more info on Bikes for the World, or to learn how to donate a bike, visit http://www.bikesfortheworld.org.

We are located on the EAST side of the Mall complex. It is accessible from M Street (go around coutner-clockwise from the Safeway), or from 3rd Street SW, K Street SW, and Wesley Place. If lost, call 571-212-4139 during sale hours. Metro accessible--Green Line Waterside/Southeastern University stop. Cash or Visa/Mastercard accepted.
