Anybody have success using the Mavic retrofriction shifters with the modern 9/10 sp systems out today? Something along the lines of using the Mavic shifters on current Campy 10sp rear derailleur and cassette, for example. We just got in a batch on NOS Suntour Superbe Pro shifters and some Suntour 4850 with the "Power Ratchet". These have barrels about 21mm wide. My Simplex Retro Friction shifters have barrels about 14mm wide. The extra width will allow them to take up plenty of cable. And some would argue that the "power ratchet" mechanism is as good as retro friction. These would probably be far superior for 9 or 10 speed.

Oh yes, we also have some NOS Campy Nuova Record shifters, for those of you who like that Italian stuff. I'll finish getting them into the store late tomorrow.
