My uncannily accurate memory (Did I hear wife wife protest in the background?) recalls it being a Florida person being that first Importer at the NY show. Then Euro Asia a few years after that.

My Freschi road bike is anything but typical, at least in the design details of the type that continue to give me a thrill: diamond shaped reinforcements under all of the braze-ons including the shift bosses, compact truncated seat stay attachment, and little roller cable guides sitting just off the bottom bracket. Details, yes, but also unique.
I can't remember when I first started seeing the Freschi bikes at the Milan show but it was probably in the very early eighties. Was it Euro-Asia that brought in a couple batches of them?
