Subject: [CR]FH Grubb Meteor restoration

Good day to you all. I am a new member to this site. I have what I believe to be a FH Grubb Meteor massed start frame which I would like to restore. This bike was bought by my father from one of the Holdsworth shops, I think he said Richmond or Brixton, back in 1959-60. By talking to another Grubb owner with a 1955 frame we compared numbers and mine was lower than his so we think it's a 54. It became my first proper bike when I was about 18 back in 1986. I have mucked about with it over the years and would now like to return it to it's former glory. It now has a good paint job thanks to Mr Vaz and I am now ready to rebuild it. I would like therefore to pick your collective brains if I may for suitable components to use. I am under no illusions that this would have been a budget bike so would not have been fitted with top notch components. I have the original GB sport MkII brakes and levers and the Bayliss Wylie bottom bracket. I would like advice on handlebars, handlebar stem, chainset, rear derailleur and gear levers if possible? My dad thinks it had a 3 or 4 speed derailleur. I think it may have had a Williams chainset. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
