Or get a Kalloy et al., aluminum seatpin, which still come in most sizes from 25.0 mm upward. The walls are thicker than most old posts, because these are long (easy to cut to size). If you need a short one, you can get one a size or two larger and machine it down, so you get a thinner wall closer to the original... The price of the posts is less than the aluminum to make one from scratch would cost.
