Does anybody have recent experience with shipping a bike from Italy to the United States (San Francisco, if it matters)? I'm curious about costs, time, and general convenience for the shipping party (box size restrictions, probably). Advice, please.
Alternately, is there a CR list member in/around Rome who would be willing to facilitate shipping to me if somebody I'm buying from is unwilling to deal with it (if this were to happen, I'd pay or trade for the trouble, if you'd like).
