I assembled the first of the Speedwells to come into North America. They were imported by the H.D. Shields company here in Toronto in the early seventies. That first frame was well finished but about 1/2" out of track. All of the Speedwells imported broke soon after being put into use. I seem to remember that it was the down tubes that broke.
