Hello all, A customer of mine has a unique aero tubed 1983 Peugot Anniversary Edition bicycle that I restored for him a while back. Somehow on a recent ride he MANGLED the Peugot labeled Simplex front changer. This derailuer is unlike any bolt on type I have ever seen before, it attaches with a bolt into the seat tube that screws in from the crankside as opposed to most bolt ons that have a bolt that enters from the front side. Is anyone familiar with this type of derailuer mounting and has or recomend where to get a suitable replacement? My only other option to get him back up to 12 speeds is to machine some type of shims to "round out" the aero tubing, and cut/grind off the existing mounting stud so I can mount a bolt on der hanger. Neither the customer nor I want to butcher this frame, it is WAY too pretty and unique.
Thanks in advance for any help, Drew Monroe
