Dear List
Happy holidays and I hope that no one got too fat over the last few days. A while back, I acquired a circa 1970's Alex Singer. The bike came with 3 wingnuts or papillons. The fourth nut on the drive side on the rear wheel came with a capped nut.
Traditional wing nuts will not work because of the clearance required for the rear derailleur.
Is there a wing nut made with a higher base to give me the clearance that I need? Or, was the bike designed to use the capped nut?
