Wayne was great working with when I sold a bike to Shimano for their bicycle museum in Japan. He even took pictures of it on display and sent them to me along with a book and brochures on the museum.

Great Interview. The Dale and Wayne Stetina were at the top of their game when I started racing in 1975. Great to see Wayne still heavily involved in the industry.

His comments about Lemond were correct from my recollection. Here's a photo of Lemond FLYING past me at the 1977 US Nationals on the track.

Lemond decided to ride the track for something to do while waiting for the road race later in the week. I went to watch the road race on Saturday at the top of the big climb they used next to Lake Washington. Greg and Jeff Bradley LAPPED the field and Lemond won. He was quite a good rider and obviously made good on that talent later on.

I just wish he'd keep his mouth (and ego) to himself these days.

P.S. Bike content, I'm riding a 1974 Raleigh Pro track bike with all Campy Pista. That was a very pretty bike:-)
