Subject: [CR]Retro fender mount lamps?

Does anyone know of a source for modern replicas of the lovely classic Radios, JOS, etc., brands of "hammered" alloy lamps which were often seen on RH or Singer bikes - ones which used matching LeFol fenders?

I've seen a number of lovely Japanese made replicas of so many other classic accessories (Catalux rear lights, etc.). Surely someone like Toei must have produced something like these by now... or perhaps not? I'd love to buy one or more.

To be honest, I was actually even thinking of "converting" one for use with a detached modern rechargeable battery. Something which might power a modern (NiteRider style) R16 12-volt lamp... so I can actually SEE on night rides. I'm definitely not an electronics whiz, but re-wiring and fitting in a simple halogen reflector lamp is not rocket science. Old 3-Watt dynamo lamps just don't suffice for my needs.

Retro clamp-on flashlights are an alternative of course. But I see no reason why I can't have the beautiful look of the lovely old integrated fender lamps to match some of my modern Honjo fenders... and also running complete with today's more efficient lighting technology.

Unfortunately, I never come across any sources for reproductions of those alloy lamps - not even the shells. All I find are cheap, bulky, chromed, internal-battery "rocket-styled" lamps intended for Low-rider or Cruiser type bikes (just not my cup o' tea).

Appreciate any leads. ~ Thanks!
