Personally I have never found this problem with these rims over the years. They are a fairly robust deep seated rim with the beading being just slightly pronounced makes it difficult to mount some type of tyres. Having said that it is essential to use the correct procedure by making sure the beads are always in the deepest part of the well especially where the valve obstructs the line. Its usually the last few inches I have found are the problem but by pulling the cover into the middle of the rims thus removing the bead completely off the shoulder it relieves the tension allows the tyre to slip on more easily. I consider it is some of the tyres which are the problem the narrower the width the harder they are to put on!

Sadly these rims are no longer around in the UK suddenly they disappeared a few years ago.
