The confusing thing about the interchangeable terms is that when someone mentions "LF" hubs, you don't know if that means Large Flange or Low Flange.

Everyone I know (American) uses the term large flange/small flange and high flange/low flange interchangeably. Campagnolo calls them large and small except for the hub they call HiLo (hub has both high and low flange). So even Campagnolo is inconsistent in their use of the terms.
