I was making these caps for 1973 nuovo record steel pedals. On these pedals, the caps "bottom out" with about a 1 mm gap between pedal shoulder and dustcap shoulder. So, I decided to remove 1 mm of height from the bottoms (threaded side) of these caps.

It may be that later superleggara pedals or NR pedals were drilled deeper so that the MKS dustcaps don't bottom out.

MKS Dustcaps work fine without removing the logo, drilling an oiler hole, and with the extra threading, I just wanted to go as far as possible to complete the campy OEM illusion ...
