This is a very timely topic for me. I am about to respray what I believe is a '75 ( '75 date codes on derailleur and crank. No "Colnago" on the fork crown). Unfortunately the bike was repainted 20 + years ago so the current decals are suspect. The owner who had the respray done insists that the current decals are correct except for the fact that originally there was no Colnago signature on the top tube. Currently it has the cloverleaf (club?) head tube decal with the world championship stripes. It also has the same decal on the back of the seat tube just below the seatpost binder bolt. The seat tube decal is a vertical "Colnago" and there is no hour record decal. In searching Wool Jersey and watching Ebay listings I haven't seen another one like this so I'm skeptical. I do get the impression though that around this time there was either a lot of changes or variation in markings. Any comments about the head badge and seat tube decals would be appreciated..

The frame is currently in the paint shop so I have to make a decision soon.
