I just tried a 5-speed Suntour English thread freewheel on it and it threads on all the way, no problem. Of course, the hub is for 110mm rear spacing and there's no way I could use it with a derailleur freewheel, only a single speed, unless I got a longer axle and some spacers and put it in a frame with wider rear spacing.
