Subject: [CR]TA spindle length?

Hi gang, I recently picked up a Cyclotourist crank for my beloved Braxton, and am looking for information for proper spindle length. The bike currently has a 115mm Phil BB with cups that look to be relatively centered in the frame, and a 43mm chainline. According to Sheldon's site a 115 UN52 should work, but unfortunately as it's currently set up, the small ring bottoms out on the frame before tapers even begin to contact the spindle. And also unfortunately I do not have a Phil BB tool, so I cannot adjust the BB to see if I can shift it to the right enough for needed clearance. So any TA experts have some advice for me. Should the 115 Phil work with a bit of adjustment, or will I need a longer spindle. And btw, the BB is threaded french so I can't just throw in a UN52 to check.

Thanks,
John Wood
