In building up the new Velo Orange KOF Randonneur and city bike frames and have run into a dilemma. My bike, for example, has primarily NOS older components (SLJ derailleurs, 49d crank, Maxi-car hubs, Ideale 90 saddle....). But I'm not sure what I should use for for rims. Since it'll have 30mm Gran Boise tires I think modern silver rims would be okay. What would be strong light and look somewhat retro? Perhaps silver Salsa Delgados or CR18s (a very under-rated rim IMO) would do. Any ideas?
