Hi, All---

As I understand it, "bespoke" comes from the British tailoring trade, where a customer would pick out a bolt of fabric from which to have a suit made. At that point, the bolt had "been spoken for" by the particular customer, and later customers would have to choose another.

I had seen the auction for the bike before Norris pointed it out and was sure the seller had innocent, intent in using the generic term.
